The dark ages are called so for a reason, knowledge and litteracy were kept from the people by the church.

Never forget, knowledge is the death stroke for religion: it proves they are lying!

Before the Roman Church took on Christianity as their state religion, there existed something now known as Gnosticism.

The Gnosticy followed the religion preached by Jesus.

Not the religion about Jesus.

In the 12th century the church wiped them out, you know them as Cathars.
